Dance Extension Project, LLC
Policies & Procedures

(2017 Revision)
Dance Extension Project, LLC does not mail physical information packets or billing statements. Parents are responsible for the information that is posted on the bulletin board, and electronic newsletters, emails, and invoices.

Students are registered and her/his place is held in class for the entire school year, from the date the registration form is signed through the Spring recital. Unless the student is removed from class by having a parent or guardian sign and date the
“Class Withdrawal” line at the bottom of the registration form, the parent or guardian will be responsible for tuition payments through the Spring recital. Signing the withdrawal line is the only way to withdraw from class. Calling, speaking to someone, telling a teacher, texts or e–mails are not accepted as forms of withdrawal. There is a minimum number of students for a class to be held. If a class falls below the minimum number during the year, it may be cancelled at any time throughout the school year.

Please do not let your child go into the dance studios until the teacher calls them in for class. Teachers are only responsible for students during class time. Office personnel are not responsible for students at any time. Never drop off children without knowledge that your instructor is on-site as the main door may be open for non-dance program activities.

Annual Family Registration Fee:  A non-refundable registration fee of $35 per family is due at registration. Additional dancers from the same family will not incur additional registration fees.

Tuition: Registration is a contract for a 35-week curriculum with annual tuition paid in-full at registration or paid in 10 equal installments. If you choose installments, the first payment is due at registration followed by 9 payments on the 1st day of each month, September 1 to May 1. Those who elect to pay in-full receive a 3% tuition discount, and may also receive an additional 2% discount for cash or check payment. Full annual tuition will be charged unless a “Class Withdrawal” is signed. A valid credit card must be on file with the Dance Extension unless paying in-full at registration even if planning to pay in cash. Cash payments must be received before the 1st of the month or the credit card will be charged automatically. It is your responsibility to notify us if this card number changes throughout the year. A $25 late fee will be charged if payments are received after the 10th of the month.

Refund policy: Tuition (paid full year or installments) and registration fees are non-refundable. There are no credits or refunds for missed classes. Make-up classes are allowed, if available on the schedule, and must be made up within four weeks. We follow Dublin Schools inclement weather cancellations. Credits will not be given for inclement weather days. A 4-week notice must be given in writing (signing withdrawal line) to our office if you are withdrawing from classes. Classes already paid for above the 4-week withdrawal notice will remain as a credit on your account for up to two years to be used on future tuition. The 4-week notice begins from the date the withdrawal line is signed and dated at the bottom of the registration form. If a student who has paid the full year at a discount rate withdraws before the end of the year, the account will be recalculated at the installment rate for the sessions they attended and the remainder will be left as credit on your account for up to two years to be used towards future tuition. Tuition credits are not transferable to another student who is not an immediate family member. Recital costumes are non-refundable and non-returnable. If the student withdraws or chooses not to be in the recital, the student may pick up the costume after the recital.

Recital: All registered students will participate in the Spring recital, unless the registration form is signed opting out of the recital. The costume fee outlined in the payment plan will be charged unless the studio is notified in advance (before Nov 1st) by signing the appropriate space on the bottom of the registration form. For the enjoyment of everyone in the audience, a videographer will record the recital. No recording or pictures with cameras of any type will be allowed during the recital. Parents can video and take pictures during the dress rehearsal. A recital fee is required for all students participating in the recital. This fee helps to defray costs of facility rental, videography, as well as provide a t-shirt, flowers, 4 tickets and a single recital DVD.

I agree to comply with the “Student Handbook” and documented studio policies. I will not hold Dance Extension Project, LLC its owners or any of its employees responsible for any personal injury or property loss.
